Weird things you say/sing to your baby..

So....David and I are weird, okay. So we sing and say stupid things to Lucas all the time. Some of the things we sing are "Who's that baby? Sexy babyyyy" like the song, you know..? lol and "Lucas, Lucas, you got a really cute..toochas" like the "Sister, Sister" theme song haha. Oh man. The worst of all though, or the best, is we tell him all the time that he 'makes baby girls swoon' lol. As if his cuteness and ego needed any sort of a boost haha. Soooo yeah, that's us.

You sing/say anything weird to your kids? haha :D

I do that to my son, too! I sing, we are going to get a bath and tell him what we are washing, or getting a fresh diaper on, or clothes, and about bedtime. He laughs and smiles, and will babble back.

I made up a song for my son Noah, and he still loves it to this day! it goes like this-
He's and eagle amongst men, he's an eagle amongst men, he's an eagle, an eagle, an eagle, an eagle, an eagle amongst men, He's blessed and highly favored, he's blessed and highly favored, he's blessed, he's blessed, he's blessed, he's blessed, he's blessed and highly favored, He's a little man of GOD, he's a little man of GOD, He's a little, itty, witty, bitty, little man of GOD! (then we hold back, and he balls up, because he knows what's coming) WHEEEEEnnnnnn! (say this next part really fast, while tickling him) GOD's in search of himself HE finds himself in Noah, when GOD's in search of himself He finds himself in NOah! When GOD's in search of himself he finds himself in NO OO OOOO AHHHH! ( the melody is the same as the classic row-row-row your boat) try it!

That's alright....we're weird, too. Although, I like to say that we are normal and everyone else is weird. My hubby does this thing called: "The Daddy Dance." It goes like this:

        Daddy dance, daddy dance
        Oh, daddy, daddy dance
        Daddy dance, daddy dance
        Oh, daddy, daddy dance
        Ba bum bum bum bum

And then repeats it. He has an entire dance routine that goes with it. He even does it in public. My son loves it! We get weird looks from people, but we just go about our business. :D

Oh, and I also make race car noises with the shopping cart and make silly faces at him--he loves the "Gentlemen, start your engines! Vroom, vroom, errrrrr. Ruhm, ruhm, errrr..." The looks from other shoppers is priceless.

Well you all are normal...We as grandparents (to our 2 1/2 yr old twins) say our fair share of silly things to the girls...a phone is called a pone...we say things in double..sit sit, eat eat, cold cold, etc. you can't help it...lol

We mostly just repeat things that she says. My daughter's favorite songs right now are "Let it go" from Frozen and "What Does The Fox Say" by Ylvis. She says, "A fossay?" when she wants to listen to it and if you ask her "What does the fox say?" she says "Pa-pa-pow!" lol! And "Let it go" sounds like "Eggo! Eggo!".

Do any of you remember The Blue's Clues song "We are looking for Blue's Clues?" I sing that to Ell all the time except I change the words constantly. It could be "We are taking a bath-y, we are taking a bath-y, we are taking a bath-y, because it's really fun!" My husband will call her boo-key face and baby beautiful. We also tell her she's a puff monster because she devours those puff things. We call her a lot of little nicknames and we sing a lot to her, but put on the spot like this it's rough to remember them all! lol
