I am not planning on giving my LO cows milk, what does your lo drink?
Because of my daughter's severe reflux, we have been giving her soymilk since day one. Cow's milk has a lot of acid in it so she can't have it much. We buy the plain soymilk from our local grocery stores. Some are non refrigerated, others are. It's a bit more expensive than cow's milk but it's actually much better for people, not just kids, because it has more calcium than cow's milk and much more protein and other vitamins. I have no idea what it tastes like but she LOVES it so it can't be too bad lol.
My daughter isn't a fan of most milks. We've tried cow, almond, and coconut. We should try soy soon. She's still nursing, though, so nothing's going to be as tasty as momma's milk to her. It's hard--we'd like to trust something else to give her vitamins, but she's very resistant to the other stuff.
My daughter has organic soymilk. We don't do silk or any of those other name brands. We only do all natural and organic and her doctor is happy with it :-)
Hayden still drinks breastmilk, and my bigger kids drink cow's milk. I have heard of people giving their children soy, almond, or even coconut milk.
