Preschool Report Cards

At our children's preschool, we don't get report cards so much as an end of the year report. The teachers do an evaluation with the students at the start of the school year, asking them to identify things, recite things, or perform certain actions. They give the parents a report of all of these things listing which the child can successfully do, attempts to do, or is unable to do. At the end of the school year, they perform the same evaluation and provide the report again. Regardless of if the children are able to do all of the tasks, they move up to the next class so it's not a stressful thing, and is more of an evaluation of how they have progressed and what they have learned throughout the year.

Does your preschool evaluate the children?

obsessed with babywearing, cloth diapering, and breastfeeding (but not judgmental about those that aren't). I'm a SAHM that works. Loves cupcakes, kittens, and glitter; hates spiders, housework and pessimism.
