Should you be concerned about your babies late teething

Doctors and dentist are not concerned about late teething until your baby is 18months. If you baby is 18months old and has no teeth then your doctor will probably do an xray to see if your baby has teeth beneath the gums. As with all development there will be those who do things early and those who do things late. When it happens really isn't much of a concern as long as they get a tooth before 18months.

Moms Expertise
My mom was missing a bunch of baby teeth and permanent teeth. Luckily none of her children are missing any teeth and so far none of my kids are missing any. It is supposed to be genetic.
I would not be concerned... my babies did not get teeth until they were past their first birthday .... they were all gums until about 12 months!
