Pillow cases for babies

I would not recommend making a pillow case for a baby because babies are not supposed to have pillows at all, at least for sleeping. It is not recommended to provide a child with a pillow for sleeping until the age of 2 due to the risk of suffocation.

If this question is regarding making a pillowcase for craft and display purposes, or for making a case for a Boppy or other daytime, completely supervised pillow, I apologize for not providing any helpful information on that front.

I agree, Tish. Children younger than two should not be allowed a pillow until the age of two because they can suffocate. My son does have a crib wedge, wish is not plush but firm like a mattress. It goes under a fitted sheet to elevate him because of his heart murmur. Other than that, pillows should not be given until the child is older.
