2 year old and sleep.

My 2 year old fights sleep something terrible! My 4 year old never did this, any suggestions? We've tried putting her to bed earlier (their bedtime is 7:30) and we've tried letting her stay up, but nothing works! She wakes up at 8, and naps at 1.

She gets a bath if needed as she has really bad eczema and the water just makes it itch (we have lotions that help it.), we eat dinner at 5 sometimes 6, she gets a drink with dinner, and a glass of water while we sit down and relax, and get ready for bed. She is tired, you can tell by her attitude, but she fights it as though she has to be there in case anything interesting happens.

Try aveeno soap when you bath her. The oatmeal bodywash works wonders on eczema. Perfumes in soaps aggravate eczema making it itch. I battled it 20 years before I found this out. Doesn't help with the bedtime problem but it will save years of trying different soaps and creams. Also cortizon-10 eczema works wonders as well. I'm not sure about her using it this young, so ask her doctor first. I wish I could help with the bedtime issue. My 3.5 month old fights his sleep bad as well. :/

We use Aveeno Oatmeal packets. Absolutely love them! and Aveeno lotion, with coconut oil.

She has trouble falling asleep, and staying asleep. She shares a room with her 4 year old sister, and they share a bed, my 4 year old is asking for sleep by 7, and we let her sleep.

Do you have a sound machine? This could help her fall asleep or some soft music? i also heard that spraying lavender can be beneficial to aiding sleep!

No sound machine, but we have music playing for them.

I've tried not napping, and by bedtime she's super cranky and the night is terrible.
