Mother's Day: What are you doing for YOUR Mom

I know it is great and fun to talk about what we may want, or want to do for mother's day, but what are you doing for your mother? My mom and I are going to spend tomorrow together visiting my brother at college and we got her a card and a very pretty potted plant. My husbands mother lives 6 hours away so we will be sending her flowers and a card.

I think I might send her a gift certificate to get flowers and vegetables for her garden and mail her a piece of pottery from New Mexico.

I am making one of those photo books online and having it mailed to her.

My mom has been (not so subtly) asking for a Pandora charm to signify Hayden - she already has one for the other two kids - so I will probably get her that and maybe some flowers :)

We are having a joint belated birthday lunch for my sister and a Mother's Day lunch for all the moms: my sister, my mother, Erik's mom and myself. My sister's birthday falls on Mother's Day weekend. I am making Erik's mom's famous meat loaf (ground beef, black ham & mozzarella cheese), mashed potatoes and gravy, and sautéed green beans in garlic butter. I'm really excited to make this feast as I have never cooked for a group of 9, 3 of which are kids.

Since this is my first viable pregnancy, I'm thinking of gifting my mom and Erik's mom with a framed picture of a cute ultrasound pose with her name.
