Glycerin suppositories for infants: how often is it ok to use

You should no use any form of medication without your doctors approval for infants, even over the counter medication. Infants have very sensitive systems and you don't want to give anything that may cause side effects. Your doctor will be able to help you weigh the potential risks and benefits and let you know what warning signs to watch for.

I would only give glycerin suppositories to my infant with our doctors approval and I would only use as often as my doctor instructed.

We had to use a glycerin suppository once with Mason and it was a pretty traumatic experience for all of us. I wouldn't suggest using them on a regular basis or at all if you are able to avoid it.

I agree. I hated even using Tylenol with our first two. The rest have never even had that or anything like it.
