Is it safe to use tanning lotions or beds while you’re pregnant

A tanning bed is definitely not safe . It can cause you to overheat and can cause dehydration. I am not sure about tanning lotions but I would not use them because I would be concerned about the chemicals.

Many women experience issues with their skin during pregnancy such as itching, dryness, pigmentation changes, etc. Tanning might worsen these issues or cause it's own issues. I would err on the side of caution and not tan in anyway during pregnancy.

I've never had the desire to use either, thankfully. But for those who enjoy tanning beds, I"m sure they must miss "treating" themselves to their tans.
I personally do not think tanning beds are safe whether pregnant or not pregnant but that is my own feeling. I too would not use lotions because of the chemicals involved...anything that seeps into the skin can get to baby!
