Eating sugar during pregnancy-any risks?

As long as you are healthy and do not have any medical conditions eating a sugar treat in moderation is not going to cause any problems. The key is making sure you are eating a well balanced diet, taking your vitamins and eating treats in moderation.

If you have diabetes, gestational diabetes or another medical concern you may have to limit your sugar intake. If you have any of these medical issues your doctor will teach you how to check your blood sugar and how to alter your diet. Make sure you follow your doctors advice so that you and your baby can stay healthy.
