Is Tylenol safe in the beginning and the end of pregnancy

I tried to avoid all medications in the first trimester when the baby is the most sensitive. If I had a fever I did take Tylenol though because the side effects of a high fever on the baby are higher than any possible risk of Tylenol. My doctor told me that Tylenol should be safe during any stage of pregnancy and is one of the safest medications that can be taken during pregnancy. My doctor did advice though that I should only take it if necessary and to only use regular Tylenol (not to use Tylenol cold, or flu, or extra strength or migraine).

I don't remember taking any Tylenol during pregnancy, maybe with my first two, but I remember being prescribed it for pain after a couple of births.

I've always been told that Tylenol is the only pain medication safe during pregnancy.
