Period or pregnancy bleeding: difference

It can be very hard to tell between your period and bleeding during a pregnancy. It is not normal to be bleeding during your pregnancy, especially large amounts that resemble a period. If you think you might be pregnant and are bleeding you need to call your doctor right away.

If your period is due and you are bleeding and have a negative pregnancy test then it is probably safe to assume you are having your period.

Anytime you see bleeding in pregnancy it can be very scary. The truth is, however, many women experience some bleeding in pregnancy for a variety of different reasons and it isn't always a cause for concern. In all of my pregnancies that resulted in a healthy baby I had some degree of spotting or bleeding.

I was the opposite, Amanda Muir. Bleeding or spotting for me meant a miscarriage. :( Each of us will be different.

Yeah we are all different for sure Theresa. For me, my miscarriage had zero spotting or bleeding. I just like to share my experience so that other women don't necessarily panic if they see some blood.
