When all you want to do is laugh

What do you do when all you want to do is laugh at your kids, but you know laughing would be a bad idea??

Today, Audrey was misbehaving and we put her on a time out. She sat on time out making the most amazingly hilarious faces (she was super angry and bitter about going on time out) and it was SO HARD not to laugh. I knew I had to stay strong and keep even the slightest smile off my face or it would ruin the lesson we were trying to teach her, but oh goodness it was hard! I ended up having to walk away because her faces were just too funny and I had to at least smile.

How do you handle hiding your feelings from your children?

I have to leave the room. I am not good at poker faces.
It crossed my mind. But I knew that would devalue the lesson. It sucks being responsible.
