Potty training

My son turned 3 this past January. I have been struggling with potty training. He will be interested for a day and do very well, then want nothing to do with it the next day. He is due to start preschool in September and needs to be potty trained. Anyone have any tips?

I agree with stepping back for a few days, but then maybe dedicate some time to real focused potty training. Maybe plan a weekend where you have no other plans, stock up on cleaning supplies and extra sheets, and go without a diaper or pull up for the whole weekend. You could get his daddy to do a 'potty party' with him where they get to eat treats and juice (to make him need to pee) then go potty together. Having a role model can do wonders for kids at that age.
