Teaching My 3 Year Old Daughter To Ride A Bike!
So when Clara was about 2 we bought her a nice RadioFlyer tricycle lol. She was too short for it for a couple months so we put it away then brought it back out once she was tall enough for it. Well, now she's actually too big for it lol. So I went out and bought a regular 12" bike (with training wheels) and an adjustable seat thinking maybe she'll get the hang of peddling better on it. But it still seems to be a chore for her. Granted, it's a Disney Princess bike, the peddles are heart shaped and have no grooves for traction so her shoes slip off CONSTANTLY and it's not the best quality bike (got it from WalMart lol). So I know it's not the best but it's a start but she seems to be struggling with learning to peddle. I feel like she is behind on learning to peddle a regular bike but maybe I'm just being ridiculous? I know boys learn their gross motor skills faster than girls so I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt, but I still feel like she should be able to pick up peddling faster than this.
Or she could be like my youngest, he never learned to ride, lol. He preferred scooters.
