Baby is crying every time during feeding
In the first month, my daughter, who was breastfed, cried a lot, and even nursing wouldn't soothe her. She would nurse, but then pull off, throw her head back, and cry. I am a first-time mom, but I could just feel that this wasn't regular--something was wrong.
So we asked the doctor at her one-month appointment, and it turns out that the behavior of throwing her head back and not nursing was a common symptom of reflux in babies. She prescribed us ranitidine, and the situation improved drastically.
The moral of this story is not that all babies who cry have reflux, but rather to trust your instinct. If you think something is wrong, you could be right, and you should ask your pediatrician to be sure.
