showing love

I love my husband and i often tell him so, but sometimes i feel like i don't show it as much as i should, like he rubs my feet and makes dinner once in a while to SHOW me how much he loves me, I don't always know ways to show how much i love him. Moms what do you do to show your hubbies you love them?

Have you ever read the book "The Five Love Languages"? I highly recommend it for everyone. It is really interesting to see how there are five different ways people give and receive love. We need to recognize the way we give and want love and we need to recognize the way our spouse and kids give and want love. It is important to make an effort to give them love in the love language that means the most to them.

Like what Katie said, this book is very helpful! Everyone needs to be shown love in different ways. I don't like candy, cards or sappy poetry about love. In fact, most of that is a turn off to me. But SHOW me something that you know will make me happy. Like hold open a door for me, ask me if I need help if I appear to need it, wash the darn dishes without me having to ask. That makes me feel so important.

If you think about it, what would you say your husband appreciates the most?

Tera, I feel that way too, like my actions don't really break through to show him exactly how much I value him. I will try things like scratching his back (he's often itchy due to dry skin), or back rubs, but I'm tempted to check out that book that Katie and Melissa mentioned.

It all depends. For my husband physical is his love language but he also loves it when I bake or cook for him, since I don't do it as much as I use to where we all take turns.
