An inevitable, vicious habit...

competing and comparing with other mothers is something most are guilty of at one time or another. I find I'm too air-headed to maintain curiosity of others' deeds. I would say that I can't be that different from any other mother in my core concern: my children. Are they clothed, fed, sheltered, loved, given attention, given mental and physical stimulation? Are they being cared for? Yes, well then, I'm not going to play the "who's better?" game. My preferences and behavior are my own, why in the world should I think that they would/could be one size fits all? Doesn't parenting work the same way? "Different strokes for different folks."

I would say that you sound level-headed rather than "air-headed" Lorraine Molina, as this sounds just right to me. :)
