Business Ladies- Spreadsheets?

For all of you out there who run blogs, freelance, etc... You know the need to keep all your in's and out's moneywise in check for tax season (and to track your progress!) Has anyone found any good free/cheap software to keep this organized outside of a simple spreadsheet? Maybe something with categories, so you can separate the money going in and out from separate projects rather than one big lump of disorganized.

I've got to get organized!

It's been a goal of mine for the last several years, but I've failed. I was doing ok for a little while using a blogging planner but even with that I cannot seem to get disciplined.

I found something in my mad search last night while awaiting comments, lol! Try Wave! It's online so you don't have to do backups, super intuitive, and completely free. It's setup for small business owners, but you can have a separate 'personal' side for tracking your own finances too. I am in love.

That comment was seriously like twice as long, I don't know what happened to the rest of it.

        Long story short www.waveapps.com

Must try! Can import everything manually, categorize, even link a bank account if you trust it (I don't yet, and am perfectly happy to import manually)

I guess they get their money from big businesses or people who want to customize because this is crazy good. (Am I insane for being so excited over accounting software?)
