I woke up at 12:30 last night with a migraine. I took my meds and with in an hour of taking them I was super dizzy and was puking up my dinner and most likely my meds... When I woke up this morning I took some ibuprofen and my allergy meds. ate a bagel and had a coke.. I'm feeling better for the most part now... but its still not fun and it makes me cry... :( I put an Ice pack on my face over my left eye and a heated bean bag on my neck. I get them once a month and they seem to last 3-6 days. I get them when I "should" get my period, which I skip with my pills. (DR said it was ok) but even if I don't skip my period I still get a migraine. They are so debilitating and I having to have to take care of my son makes it even harder...
Do other mommy's suffer from migraines? What do you do for them? Have you talked to a Dr about them? What kind of meds do to take for them? How do you make them go away!!???
I also did an elimination diet where I got rid of just about everything but meat and vegetables for a month and then slowly added things back in. I've found that sweet peppers, tomatoes, and peanuts all trigger headaches, so I try to stay away from those now. An elimination diet isn't easy - but it can teach you a lot about yourself and what foods you shouldn't eat.
