Why isn't my baby focusing or smiling

I'd say it isn't anything to worry about if other milestones are being met. Some babies just take longer to focus and smile. Otherwise, if your gut is saying something is wrong then definitely mention it to your doctor. If they brush you off and you are still feeling like something is wrong, see a different doctor. Be your child's advocate. You know him or her best.

    Every baby is different and hits milestones at different ages. My oldest Marron didn't smile until almost 3 months old. My second smiles about 2 months and my youngest just cracked her first smile yesterday and she is 7 weeks old.
