Update on Connor

Prayers again for my family. I just got a phone call. Connor is no longer qualified for the transfer to Duke. His respiratory status is too rocky right now for him to handle the transfer or the transplant.
Our next options are wait and see if his breathing improves or to go ahead with the bone marrow transplant from Grahm. Dr. Conley said the problem with the bone marrow transplant is that it could make Connor sicker, because they would have to administer more immune suppressants before they did the procedure. I am devastated. I just want Connor to come home. I want this nightmare to be over.
I am taking Grahm on Monday for further testing. Please pray that everything goes smoothly and that we can continue to figure out what's the next step. Pray for my mind set, that I can be clear and level headed about the decisions I will be making.

I am so sorry to hear that you got bad news. When we had to make a difficult decision about my daughters medical care we had a big meeting with her medical team, family, and social worker. Together we all wrote out what option we had and we wrote out the risks and benefits of each option. They gave it to me in writing and it really helped us to be able to sit with our options for a few days and come up with our next course of treatment. Huge hugs to you, please know that we are here whenever you need us!
I'm so sorry to hear that! Me and baby T will pray for you and Connor and the rest of your family.
