Too early!

Having some major setbacks in the sleeping department! We were doing so well...now every night is a struggle to get T to sleep through the night...so it's 4:30 in the morning and me and him are awake. He didn't go to sleep until late last night and refused to nap all day...he has to sleep at some point right? Ughness!

Clara did that for a while when she was about 9 months old. For a few months, she would basically just take naps. She wouldn't really sleep a solid 8 or 10 hours. From 3 months to 9 months though, she WAS sleeping that long. Then it was like, "I'm just gonna stay up as much as possible, mom!" lol. After a few months of not getting any regular sleep, I finally put my foot down. I could only take so much of not getting any regular sleep. So I would put her to bed at night, and she would cry for a while. I would come back in the room and say softly, "it's bed time, and we need to get some sleep." And then I'd leave the room for a few more minutes and do the same thing. After about 15 minutes, she just laid down and went to sleep. I know some people aren't ok with their child crying but she was over a year old and she had to eventually learn that there was going to be a routine for sleep and being awake. She's 3 now and honestly, it's never been a hassle since. She never puts up a fuss about bed time and goes right to sleep! She's a happy, healthy toddler :-D

Oh he has definitely cried it out...pretty much every night for the last 4 months. Lol For every nap and night time he cries for at least a few minutes when we put him down. I have learned the hard way if I go in there at all it just makes the crying worse and last longer. So I just let him fall asleep on his own. I can't blame him too much though because I have major insomnia. I think I passed it down.
Nothing has changed here but I think he might be teething again. Plus it's been really warm then cools off a lot at night. And of he is not totally comfortable he won't sleep...like his mom lol

He had never been a great sleeper but when he is teething his little tummy gets so upset. He just wants Mommy to sit and rub his belly for him. I'm happy to do it but man do I pay for it the next day :-/
