Quick question for moms with older girls

Ok, so I know my daughter is only six, but can she be getting ready for puberty?? The reason I ask is she is EXTREMELY emotional, it appears she may be developing a chest, and is very volitile lately. She can cry at the drop of a hat. I have a well check up for her tomorrow and am going to ask her pediatrician. I have heard that it can start early, but how early? Is this normal??

Amanda, interesting question... As I know it can start early, even at 6 - but I think it's not your case (hope so). In any case, it's natural, but complicated process - and really different for each girl. Hope you are ready for this

I started getting a chest at 7, but I didn't start the not so fun parts until I was 10. My sister on the other hand 7 years older than me didn't even start getting a chest until she was 15. So really it can go either way.

My girls were all close to 13 before they started their periods, which was close to when I started too. They were more emotional, still are and it's always fun when there are four of us pms'ing at the same time. NOT. lol!

I have heard it can start early. Hope not for Jasmine and your sake though.
