Yeast infection toddlers: causes and treatment

I don't know the cause of yeast infection, just that it's fungal. I remember when a couple of my girls were red and itchy and our nurse practitioner didn't say much other than to give them a vinegar bath. A vinegar bath is simply a warm bath with a capful or two of vinegar. It seemed to do the trick, but I never asked her if the girls specifically had a yeast infection.

I used to get them frequently, and my son got them when he was a baby. I simply eat yogurt, and it goes away.
