We Caught a Stomach Bug

So, a few days ago, our daughter began exhibiting signs of an upset stomach (diarrhea, gas, bloated tummy, etc.), and I assumed it came from eating something that she just didn't agree with. Then the night before last, she began refusing her food. I started to feel a bit nauseous myself. Then...it happened. I couldn't hold food down and became riddled with pain. My husband left work at 3AM just to drive me to the E.R. because I couldn't drive myself.

To sum it up, I'm still not feeling too well, but our daughter seems to have symptoms that come and go. I feel awful because when her tummy cramps up, I feel helpless because I feel that there isn't much that I can do. Her pediatrician recommended perhaps giving her gas drops and Tylenol for pain, but that just doesn't seem to provide justice. I'm still pretty much bed ridden and can barely hold her at times when she's in pain.

Are there any safe home remedies you ladies have tried that could help her feel any better? Of course we can take all types of nausea medication and something for pain, but what about something for toddlers?? Is there maybe a toddler-safe medicine I could give her?

I do not know of anything except to let it take its course... maybe someone else out there has a suggestion... but we just usually let it run its course...sorry :(

Pedialite will stop the diarrhea, and it will help keep her hydrated.
I hope she feels better. My prayers are with you all.

Gripe water is great for tummy pains, too. I give it to my son when he has an upset tummy.

        Lol...you're welcome.

Yeah, gas drops does nothing for my son. Megmentioned gripe water on here once. I have never heard of it. I got some to try it, and that is what we now use for him. That stuff is awesome.
