There's the allergy...

My two middle kids have some sort of allergy or intolerance to processed milk. When I was nursing I couldn't eat any dairy for a year, couldn't tolerate while pregnant either. My last one I was craving milk when I was pregnant. Now while nursing I can eat most by products. Frozen Yogurt is ok but apparently ice cream is not. Poor baby girl has a tummy ache, pulling out the peppermint water. :(

The pain was finding the foods with the hidden milk product. Peas for instance create lactose as they are digested. My son was definitely the worst with the allergy, my second daughter wasn't as bad . The allergy or intolerance or whatever is passed down through their dad's mom. If my hubby gets a glass of milk he gets covered in hives in hours.

I am not entirely sure and I don't want to put them through the allergy testing. My mother in law had to drink the whey off the top of the fresh milk when she was a baby. When my husband was put on cows milk when he turned one he was covered in a rash for weeks. Andrew is the only one who gets a rash now. If they get too much dairy (like pizza or spaghetti for lunch and dinner two days in a row) they get diarrhea and eczema patches. They have grown out of most of it by one. I tried the lactose free products on my son and I. Those are nasty. There's also something there with peanut butter-just peanut butter though.
