Any other home school moms on here? I grab free files when I get them.. Just decided to inventory them all to see what I had (I'm avoiding doing dishes in reality).. Wowzers I have a bunch. Should be almost set through elementary school without having to buy too much if any at all. :D

The biggest reason we are homeschooling is the cousins.. While I have had heard many teachers comment they are sad they won't get my kids because they were looking forward to disciplined kids after having the cousins, I don't want my kids to be the ones to receive 'oh your cousins were troublemakers, you must be too' from a teacher. I've been there, it's not fun. The next closest school is 20 miles... so homeschooling it is.

Yes, I'm a homeschooling mom. I home school my eight children.
Theresa, do you use Heart of Dakota or My Father's World? My hubby is dead seat on buying curriculum. Since we are only a year out of preschool time, I'm starting to look at young earth creation, Bible based curriculum.. Personally, I think I could do it with freebies for a few years-but he wants a curriculum. (Which also makes all the files I've been downloading seem like a waste of drive space.)

Tabitha HidalgoI don't but I have looked at My Father's World and have known others who have used it. I thought My Father's World looked great but ended up not wanting to spend all that money when I could do it cheaper. I think it's a good choice though if your hubby wants you to go the full curriculum route.
        Ok. Thanks.
