Dealing with colic

This is one of those things that can make you really learn how much stress you can handle! My son would wail and cry in the evenings for the longest time. Rocking him, singing to him and trying white noise only helped a little. There were times my (now ex) husband and I let him cry and locked ourselves in the bathroom for a few minutes just to breathe. That is the best advice I can give. Do your best to soothe the baby, it will help them even if they don't calm down completely. But when you hit that point of wanting to cry yourself take a break. It's okay! You can do that! Letting yourself refresh for a few minutes will make you feel calmer when you need to do that and your baby will sense that you are calm as well. It is actually beneficial to both of you.

Thankfully, we've never had to deal with colic. I cannot even imagine how trying it must be.
