All pros!!!

I personally don't see any cons to homeschooling. I homeschool my older two and plan to do it with all four when the younger two are old enough. I love it. I get to control their environment and the influences they are exposed to. I get to be their teacher and spend every moment with them. I don't miss anything! Which is exactly how I want it. I was there when my sons tooth fell out, or when he learned to tie his shoes, when they learned their alphabet I taught them that! It's an amazing thing to see children learn and grow. Family is so important to me and I wouldnt have it any other way.

I say phooey to the socialization... I had friends who were homeschooled because their mom didn't want them to be influenced by the bad kids in school.. Well...they still met those kids, one has been in and out of jail for theft for the last 12 years and one was killed drunk driving. Kids can learn to interact through other means.

Yes it was horrible. Kids can learn to interact in other ways around attitudes you want them to copy.. I realize once they get older you have to let go and let them fall in some places.

Great perspective and thanks for sharing your story, Ariel! I bet you love every second with them.. and vice versa.. so awesome you are there to witness it all! I am sure some Moms might wish they could do this, but obviously you have to be blessed to be able to stay home and do so as well.. I think socializing your home-schooled children is handled on a case by case basis.. some kids don't even socialize well AT school.. it's more individualized then lumped together anyways :)

this is true. Not everyone is as lucky as I am and get to be a stay at home mom that is able to do this. Plus not everybody is meant to do it. I know I am and it's whats best for my family. I don't judge or tell others how to raise their kids. I just do what I know I should and I love it!

lol. thank you. Homeschooling isnt for everyone thats for sure. Like my brother or my sister....that would be a disaster! I homeschool year round. That way when we need some time off we can take it! You never know what can come up. Plus I did year round schooling for a short while as a kid and I liked that way best.
