chicken pox

great! 5 confirmed cases of chicken pox in Mark's school this week! Plus strep, plus lice. All 3 are "available" in his classroom! I hope he will not catch any of this.

If he got vaccinated, it is very unlikely that he will catch it. You can also ask his dr about a booster to the vaccination, which I did for my 2 boys.

A child with chickenpox can spread the disease from 1 to 2 days before they get the rash until all their chickenpox blisters have formed scabs.

It takes from 10 to 21 days after exposure to a child with chickenpox or shingles for someone to develop chickenpox.

If a child is vaccinated for chickenpox gets the disease, they can still spread it to others.

For most people, getting chickenpox once provides immunity for life. but, for a few people, they can get chickenpox more than once, although this is not common.
