These ants... grrr

I am still fighting a battle with these stupid ants, losing my mind over this!

I have tried borax mixed with syrup, some other gel that's supposed to kill them, someone told me to try cornmeal and they just walk right past that!

When I moved in here I asked if there were any bug issues. I was told I may see a RANDOM ant here and there. I guess random means a high body count after I squish them?

Someone, anyone, tell me how to be rid of them. Besides burning the house down of course.

Have you tried cinnamon or pepper? Those seemed to work for the ants we have here. Just sprinkle it down the path they are coming from or usually come from and see what happens.

No problem, hope you conquer them somehow!

I know they hate baby powder as well. That's what we use while camping. If you can find where their ant hill is you can pour boiling water on it and that kills them, and a lot of them at once.

Diatomaceous earth keeps them under control. If you can follow them back home, pour a coke down the hill. Vinegar is supposed to help. Fresh coffee grounds. Bay Leaves. Old Fashioned grits.. These are all suggestions I have gotten. I get invaded every year.. The only thing keeps them out of everything is the diatomaceous earth, it kills them as they walk through.

Ooh, haven't tried Diatomaceous earth! We have it because we feed it to our animals as a natural wormer.

I only feel bad if they are outside...once they enter my house I don't feel bad for killing them.
