Christian working mom, what do you do

I am a blogger, virtual assistant, driver of two paper routes, hostess here at Moms.com and a farmer. I have multiple streams of income in case one falls to the wayside, I still have money coming in. My blogging income is not always paid regularly so the other work fills in the gaps.

Let's just say I keep busy! Grateful for a supportive hubby amidst it all.

What about you?

I do try to blog every day, but thanks to some contributors I don't always have to write the post. My two daughters even help occasionally when I need them to. That helps. Blog work isn't always steady and the pay is sporadic, anywhere from the same day payment or a couple to 30, 45, 60 or 90 days out! Bills don't wait that long!

I have thought about starting a blog. I wonder if there is decent income in the blogging business. I would appreciate any, though.

I would love to be hired painting murals on walls or nurseries. I enjoy paintings walls and doors because they are a huge canvas for me. I would thoroughly enjoy it if I could make money as a writer and artist.

But, before pregnancy and during, I worked for a place that made pillows and mattresses for Tempur-Pedic. I was a private tutor before that, which I miss. And before that, I was a professional baker.

I have thought about reopening my tutoring business. However, my son is very young and he requires constant care, especially with his health and developmental issues.

And, Theresa, I enjoy reading your blog. I checked it out yesterday, and read the six funny things. They made me laugh. The, "Let it Go" parody video is how I feel, at times.

It takes time to make money blogging but I get a good stream now.

There must be a way to use your artist gift to make money. Have you tried to market the murals etc? Start with small projects while JMS is young and slowly work your way to larger ones?

Glad you enjoyed the six funny things! I laughed at that parody too! :)

No, I haven't. I need to brainstorm where to begin. Many people like what I do but I am one of those who criticize myself. Lol

The only thing that's somewhat steady is a store on eBay selling products from our dollar store that went under. I do make some on surveys.

Wish I had a money paying job. Not that I don't want to work but I have to be able to work from home for the next few years. I know something will come up. But my favorite job that I quit to be home with my kids was an assistant clothing, footwear and accessories buyer for a farm and ranch store.
