When can babies eat yoghurt

I think it's recommended that whole milk be started at a year in case of sensitivities and allergies, but yoghurt and cheese may be started around 8-9 months. The reasoning behind that is because the yogurt and cheese won't replace breast milk or formula as whole milk would. Seems kind of contradictory, if you ask me. I honestly cannot remember when we started ours on yogurt.

Ours didn't get yogurt and cheese until they were 1 1/2-2.

I have shared my greek yogurt with my daughter since she was 4 months. I think when you introduce foods is really a personal choice. I know she doesn't have a milk sensitivity based on the supplement we had to use for a little while after she was born so I felt comfortable giving her a little yogurt .5 oz so she could get some of the good bacteria into her system. She loves to eat it.
