Babies eating strawberries?
Strawberries are actually a common allergen so they should be introduced slowly after a year of age. Many berries can cause a reaction, but strawberries seem to be at the top of the fruit list. Things to watch for when introducing them is swelling anywhere on the face, any sign of breathing difficulties, rash and very loose, watery bowel movements. If your child has a reaction, or you think they have a reaction talk to your pediatrician right away. They may want you to wait to introduce strawberries later and in a controlled environment.
