What are your favorite songs from a parent to a child?
I have always sung the Barney song, "I love you, you love me, we're a happy family, with a great big hug and a kiss from me to you, won't you say you love me too!"
I have also sung a Sharon, Lois and Brahm song, "Skiddermarinky dinky dinky, Skiddermarinky do, I love you. I love you in the morning and in the afternoon! I love you in the evening and underneath the moon! Skiddermarinky dinky dinky, I love you!"
I use to sing "You are my sunshine to my oldest" not so much to my other children since I always felt it was my song to my oldest because she's always been a ray of sunshine - outgoing, friendly and full of smiles.
Those are the only ones I can think of. Are there others I should know about? What do you sing to your children?
Juliette-It's a web like a spider's web...(I have no clue what the actual title is) My mother always sang it to us.
Caralyne-You are my Sunshine
Eleanore-He's got the whole world in His hands(we add/change who He has)
Of course there are bits and pieces to 50 others that we/I sing to them. Whatever pops into my sleep deprived head as they fight sleep. We do tend to stick with hymns for the most part.
