FCAT: My fouth grade duaghter has maintained good grades through out the course of the year...
But she isn't a great test taker. If she fails ( mostly concerned the reading portion ) will she be retained automatically or are there other options?: /
So the schools in your state don't require FCAT? It's SOOOO stressful. I HATE it!!
I don't think they'll retain her for one failed portion of a test. If she's got good grades everywhere else It seems like she understands the material, she just might not have the confidence to take the test. Try building her confidence to ease her test anxiety.
I hope your right! I wish the FCAT could be used as a measuring tool for the students NOT a determining factor! It's SO stressful!
She passed!!!! YAYYYYYY!!!! she passed , she passed!!!! In the state FL the children from grades 3rd and up are tested at the end of the yr and the school will in fact retain them if they don't passed...it SUCKS!!!!! My nice was retained bc of this!!! horrrble!!

A 36 y/o wife and mom of a 10 year old girl, a 1 1/2 year old girl and one in the oven. While being a mother and wife can be very overwhelming and not ALWAYS very rewarding ( just being honest ) I certainly would not have it any other way.
