No more night time breast feedings? Done.

After a certain point you can begin to night wean if it has become a habit instead of a need. When your baby is developmentally ready (which means they can go longer stretches between feedings and longer stretches of sleep) let daddy take care of night time waking. If the breasts aren't there then the baby may go back to sleep. Don't expect that to happen quickly or without a fight though. Heck, don't be surprised if you have a few tears of your own and leaking breasts during those night of transition! It will happen though, slowly but surely.

I didn't stop night time nursing until I weaned my last several children. When it did stop, I always felt like something was missing for a while. It's definitely weird, especially after nursing months or even years.
