Bath time

At what age should you stop washing your child's body for them?

I agree .. 4, 5 ish was when I stopped, but monitored them.. rinsed and made sure they went over certain parts.. I was always close.. in the bathroom "organizing" or putting towels away or painting my nails, whatever.. so that they felt they were doing it all on their own, but I was watching closely...

And then when they are totally on their own... you find yourself sort of pacing around, not sure what to do with yourself... you can't sit and go read a book because I like to still be near, yet you can't be on their game...

Between 4 and 5, depending on the child. Some kids need longer, but most seem ready by 5.
