Lentil puree for baby.
Lentils are a healthy baby food and have protein, iron and high in fiber and minerals like B vitamins. They come in brown, green and red. Red is perfect for baby food, because they become mushy when cooked and don't cause gas. Add them to Butternut squash and presto!
Try lentil stew.
1 oz (1/8) cup dried lentils.
1/2 tea tomato juice ( if you introduced) or use low sodium veg or chick broth
1 sm carrot, scrubbed, peeled and sliced. Place all in a sauce pan and add enough water to cover.
Bring o boil over high heat, them simmer the stew until veggies are cooked. Puree and enjoy!!
