Are you near Midlothian VA?

If you are in that area then you are a hop, skip and jump away from Richmond, Virginia. Richmond is chock full of historical sites and museums, so much so that you could never visit it all in one weekend. My suggestion would be to check out the Science Museum and Children's Museum as well as Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. Lewis Ginter has a splash pad in the summer too, bonus!

Nope, but I've always wanted to visit Virginia. Lots of history there, plus I hear it's beautiful!

We've always wanted to go to Williamsburg. We had friends go several years ago and they even dressed up in period costume, like the employees! ;)
