Eye color in kiddos, how does that happen?

It's kind of complicated to explain genetics, but basically you have dominant and recessive genes. If you have two blue eyed parents that both carry a recessive gene for blue eyes or a dominant gene and a recessive between the parents you may end up with blue eyed children. Typically darker color eyes are more dominant but in many cases the blue eyes will win out due to the double recessive or recessive/dominant combination.

It's really fascinating how it all works!
