WHATS THE BIG DEAL ABOUT MINECRAFT?
L. Klonsky tells us about her first experience with the game and how she can now understand her son better.
My son would, if he could, spend as much time playing Minecraft on his computer as he does living in the real world. He spouts terms that cause his father and I to roll our eyes, terms like “mining for diamonds,” “punching wood,” and “spawning” (Why, we wonder, is our son spawning? Is that appropriate for a kid his age?). So I decided to learn more about Minecraft and why it seems to be so addictive to my son, his friends, and apparently 33 million other people.
