Have you looked into this at all? I don't have any experience with charting ovulation, but I know there are apps that will help you do it as well as online trackers. There are lots of different signs of ovulation - the ones Cassandra mentioned, a rise in temperature (this can be very slight though, so you may need a special thermometer) or there are also urine test strips that you can purchase.

I agree with Cassandra, though I've heard it's better to count backwards fourteen days from when you think you'll get your next period. Everyone cycles are different so If yours are shorter or longer you may not ovulate in the middle of your cycle. The second half of a cycle (after you ovulate) is almost always 14 days while the first half can vary. For example, if you have a 24 day cycle you will probably ovulate on day 10, not day 14.

The others have given you some good advice. You can also look at our past discussions too:

I have always counted to day 14 (my cycles are 28 days) and counted back 3-4 days before and after since sperm can living inside a female for 72 hours.
