Surviving deployments, this is how I did it.
Once upon a time a long time ago I was a military wife. Dealing with deployments was part of the gig so you learn how to deal with it. That doesn't mean you like them, but you learn how to deal with it. The best advice I can give is to stay busy! Don't sit around the house 24/7, that guarantees misery. Get out, do things! Meet other people around you if you are in a new area. Get a part time job if you want to be out of the house, it can be a great way to get adult interaction. Just please don't isolate yourself and sit by the phone waiting on a phone call. That's a miserable way to handle deployments.
Does anyone else have advice they want to add?
