Bentley is 10 months old today!!! He walks (has been since about 7 months) and talks and is very very ahead in his gross motor skills. He says things like bye, mom, dad, kiss,up,nice, dog, down, and yesterdays new one UH-OH. Its a new word everyday. Anyways he's ahead on things like that but he also doesn't do things a normal 10 month old does he doesn't clap, or point at things, he hits but thats about it. He trys to give kisses but he bite you instead. Is it normal for him to not be clapping or pointing yet?

I've heard from some older moms (grandmothers now, actually) that SCREW the milestones... They will do things on their own time. They don't have to meet the deadline, it's just a guide. They will pick up things in their own time. Like Mara said, maybe give a bit more focus to those things? But if he's overachieving in so many other ways, I wouldn't be concerned!

I agree with the others. It sounds like he's doing so much ahead of time that the clapping and pointing will come. But like the others said if you are concerned ask your doctor.
        Thanks Guys.

I wouldn't worry too much. My 15 month old son won't talk. Bentley sounds like some areas hes pretty far ahead.
