Placenta abruption: Yesterday I went to the E.R for a horrible pain in my side.
.......after an U/S the Dr. found that the placenta had slightly torn from the uterus wall. He seemed unalarmed. He did say that it often is the sign of a miscarriage to come, but said since there was no bleeding it would likely heel on it's own. He said many woman with this condition go on to have successful pregnancies without further incident. The baby otherwise looked fine. Have you, or anyone you know experienced this?
If you're not bleeding I think your doctor is right and it will heal on it's own.
take it easy!
