Stay at home moms money making ideas

Oh my gosh, there is SO much you can do to make money these days with the internet, it really just depends on how much you need to make, how frequently you need to make it, how soon you need to make it, your skill-set (but you can learn lots of skills online for free!) and how much time you have to spend.

One common way to make money if you have time to grow it first is blogging. You can make money with affiliation, advertisements, lots of ways with a blog. Plus, having your blog opens all sorts of other paid opportunities to you like writing articles, SEO, paid guest posts, ghostwriting. If you have a wide audience and you've done your marketing, that also opens up marketing jobs to you, especially social media ones.

If you're crafty, Etsy can be great! You can grow this too... You can use the Etsy crowd as a sort of test crowd. Figure out what people like most and how much they're willing to pay for it. Play with it! Then, while you maintain your Etsy store, you can also have your own site to sell your products so you're not giving a cut to Etsy. Especially if you have returning customers, this can be great! Just depends on what you want to make.

If you're good with a computer, you can be a virtual assistant. This job can vary a lot depending on who you work with. One person might just need help with notes and emails, another might need research, writing, lots of stuff. Just depends. If you're good, you can make pretty good money though, right from your own home!

If you're a social person, direct sales can make you good money too! Things like Avon and various other makeup companies, Scentsy, those neat super-strong tote bags... You can host parties and supply your friends with good stuff. It's a great excuse for friends to come over too, if you're finding mommyhood has been keeping you away from your pals.

If you don't need much money and just have a little bit of time, things like Amazon Mechanical Turk and Fiverr can give you what you need. There are also ways to make just a little money by browsing the web by allowing the company to have your data.

If you're hilarious, you can write for Cracked! They pay pretty well per accepted article.

If you want something you can do when you have time, but not when you don't, there are beginner transcriptionist jobs that don't require experience. You just do what you can and get paid for it. TranscribeMe is one such site. You have to pass a test to be 'hired' but that's it.

There are also companies that do transcription and data entry that require certain hours.

If you have skills or the time to learn some... Freelance 'em out! You can edit, write, design, market, whatever! No matter what you can do, there's probably someone looking for it.

What ideas do YOU have for making money for stay at home moms? Have you tried any yourself?

Oh, cool, Christina! What genre do you write? Do you know what you're gonna blog about?

In my last post I added a link to a free blogger business plan that I think is really helpful when you're starting a site, even if you've started 10 others before. Check it out! http://thinktraffic.net/the-ultimate-business-pla…

Try looking around blogtyrant.com and stevepavlina.com's passive income series. Both are free. You could also try being a virtual assistant.
