Where to buy cute clothes for pregnant women
Nowadays there are lots of adorable styles to where during pregnancy. Maternity clothes come in lots of the same styles that regular clothes do, so you can wear pracically what style you were wearing pre-pregnancy if you want.
I'm a fan of the school of though that you're only going to wear your maternity clothes for a little while, so don't invest a lot of money in them. Instead, get a few maternity items, but otherwise get clothes you can wear even after baby arrives. Maternity jeans and maternity work pants if you need them are staples for many women. You can also invest in a few cute maternity shirts, if you'd like. You can go to one of the stores that sell specifically maternity clothes, but they can be a bit pricy. Most the big box stores llike Walmart have a maternity section. But, if you don't mind second hand, you can buy online on Ebay, or in town at thrift stores and yardsales. You can even go to Goodwill. One smart place to find cute clothes for pregnant women is on Facebook exchanges. You can exchange them again once baby is born! If you're looking for a few really cute items and want to support the 'indie' scene, you can always check around on Etsy too.
As for the rest of the stuff, I like sundresses on pregnant women. Sweat pants are easy and you'll probably appreciate them once baby arrives. Why get spit up on expensive, uncomfortable clothes? You can also where big tops, whether girly ones or tshirts. You can get cute versions of these things at all your favorite stores. Old Navy carries pregnacy friendly clothes for a pretty good price. Target would also be a good place to look, as well as the places listed above.
One thing I would not suggest buying online while you're pregnant is shoes. You feet can “spread” and get bigger during pregnancy, so the size you might normally wear even in a brand you're familiar with may not fit during pregnancy and even afterward. Go try them on! One exception might be flip flops, but you can snag a couple pairs of those for ultra cheap at Old Navy. I would suggest getting a pair of good, supportive shoes though, especially if you have to be on your feet with much frequency. Even if you're just roaming around the house, chasing after your other little ones, some supportive house shoes might be good. Pregnancy weight adds extra strain to your feet in a pretty small time frame, not to mention your balance can get a little off. If you're gonna splurge on anything while pregnant, I think this would be a good one- they'll help you now and later and make you feel a little better overall.
Oh, and if you're crafty... You can pick up old clothes at Goodwill and yardsales that you like the pattern of and sew your own! You can even use the leftovers to make some nipple pads and some diaper inserts, if you want!
