Is breastfeeding safe when you have a cough

Yes! It is very important to breastfeed through a cough or cold, because as your body forms antibodies for that specific illness, those antibodies are passed through your breastmilk to your baby, preventing the baby from getting sick.

We are still breastfeeding. Maddie did not catch her first cold until about 10 months old.

Definitely. I nursed through whatever illness I came down with.
